Chris:
I've seen this fact on competitors products. E-wood (engineered wood) offers "mold resistance". I assume that a good pressure washing once a year or just a spray bottle with bleach could easily resolve this issue on non-Ewood decks. I have an easterly exposed side of the house that gets little sun with a large deck that rots away every 5 years. I'm considering E-wood/Trex/etc myself but the cost is quite prohibitive. Time to pour a concrete patio and spend the other budget on a good shop out back.

: I am thinking about using trek or fibercon decking instead of traditional decking material. Someone told me that the new type of decking has problems with mold growth which could lead to heath problems.
: Is this true?????
