A table saw, by all means. The radial arm saw is a very good tool for what it was intended for: framing. Although very versitle, it is famous for it's inaccuracy. You will spend almost as much time "truing" the saw as using it. Although I own both types of saw, 99%of my work is done at the table saw. The are sever good brands available. Get a cast iron top with a good fence. The fence is much more important than the brand of saw. I personally own a Jet.
