: can somebody tell me how do you work with a plate joiner ?
I am not sure of your question, but here goes. A plate or biscuit joiner has many uses the most common is for making glue up panels by putting biscuits every 6" or so in addition to glue you are sure to get a flush surface and an extremely strong joint. You can also use them on butt joints such as applying pilasters to end panels, or in picture frames, you can use them to fasten drawer fronts to drawer sides. they can be used pretty much anywhere you could use a tennon. they are simple and easy to make with the correct plate joiner. Keep in mind they are a substitute for a tennon in some applications but are not as strong.
