: : I have stripped the woodwork in my home around large windows, doorways, and entrance ways. There was about four layers of paint. I used a heat gun to get most of the paint and stripper for the rest. The problem is there is still a white residue from me stripping. Do I have to sand everything or do more stripping??? This has been a long process as it is. Thank you for responding..

Use a stripper and a stripping tool. It's a lot of work but it's worth it. I live in a 100 year old house and we did that and the wood looks GREAT!!!
