: Without question I would go the table saw route. Easier to set up and maintain for square cuts. Much more versatile and is safer if you use a little common sense. Delta makes an excellent model Get at least a 10" with a good fence.

I would agree with Fred. Radial arm saws can be dangerous for someone who has little experience. Delta or Jet are two very good names in the Table saw industry.. And a very close in price.
